Terms & Conditons

1. CANCELLATIONS:-
Picnics & DIY party hire required at least 48 hours (2 days) before event as we prepack all jobs 1 -2 days prior,
Weddings require 1 weeks (7days) notice.
Full refund will be given if this is adhered to.
If there is a chance of rain, please have a back up plan for your party moving party to covered area or using sided gazebos, try asking a friend or family to use their house/space. Hire a hall, marquee or community space. Hire items are clients responsibility to keep clean and dry. We are event hire not a party planner.
1A. Special Request items:- If an item has been requested to be made/sourced and then hire is cancelled after item has been made/purchased. Full hire quoted on that item to be paid.
1B. If party cancelled after job is delivered/taken or If hire item was not used. No Hire Refunds will be given. No exceptions. Bond will be refunded in full if no damages or stains have been incurred.
**BOND REFUNDS - Please note we use SQUARE for Eftpos- Their policy states "allow 2-14 days for refunds to be processed". We are unable to change this so bonds can be paid in cash or bank transferred for quicker refund.
2. CLEANING:-
DO NOT WASH ITEMS IN DISHWASHER. All items must be returned cleaned including stools, tables, barrels, bars - soapy warm water wiped down, hand wash crockery, cutlery & glassware in hot detergent water due to age or hand painting on some items. Cleaning fee applicable $0.50 per item.
2a.PARK PARTIES will incur automatic $5 cleaning fee per rug plus luxe tableware additions.
Vacuum rugs if event is held at a private house, if not vacuumed, $5 per rug will be charged.
Wet Vac will incur a $25 per rug fee like Red Wine, Food, paints Firepit char or Mud Stains
IMPORTANT - An adult to stay with setup at all times until collected.
Hirer responsible for all items from delivery. Do not leave unattended as someone may steal something or wind or rain will knock items over. Anything missing or broken will incur replacement costs. See item #7 for items not returned.
Please note you cannot leave hire items unattended at any time once setup. You cannot meet staff at park then go away to pickup food etc. Please ensure someone stays with hire items at all times. Anything missing or returned broken will definately be taken out of your bond.
2b. COVID 19 -All blankets, linen napkins & cushions machine washed, tables spray & wiped/washed down, tableware handwashed, carry boxes spray & wiped. Staff wash & sanitize hands before & after event setups. Masks can be worn at request or if state requires. Staff are vaccinated.
Any Event changes required due to Covid please speak to Sue directly, moving of dates, refunds or cancellations all can be discussed. If you or any of your invitees are sick with any symptoms please cancel party/meeting.
3. DAMAGES/BREAKAGES:-
All damages or breakages to be reported to sugar rose staff immediately and will be Taken out of bond. Invoice can be produced for replacement to be paid by hirer. These will be assessed at time of return of items and discussed with hirer via phone, text or email. Once hirer has taken possession of event hire, it is up to them to ensure all items are safe, dry, cleaned. See #7 if items not returned.
3a. RUGS - Please note all rugs can be used for under picnics, tables, decorations, arbour rugs, even dance floors. Please ensure your guests avoid drinks, food, sparklers, mud or cigarettes. Any burn marks or alcohol/food spillages can incur full bond loss and even replacement costs.
4. WET OR INCLEMENT WEATHER:-
Hirer to ensure all hire items be kept dry & safe at all times. If rugs or lounges get wet. Dry cleaning fees are applicable. Put tarps under all rugs.
If there is a chance of rain, have a back up plan for your party by moving party to covered area, indoors or using sided gazebos where possible (Sugar Rose has 3x3m sided Gazebos for light inclement weather if required). Hire a venue, use a friend or families house
(Refer 1. for cancellation policy).
If a windy day ensure all items are kept safe to ensure nothing gets blown over, damaged or broken. Lower or Heavier centrepieces can be arranged or glass items replaced with tin
5. PERMITS:-
It is the responsibility of the hirer to acquire any permits required by councils for your party/event.
6. SITE CONDITIONS:-
All site information to be given to Sugar Rose on booking of event. If there are restrictions such as elevator use, stair access only, tight site access, rocky terrain, muddy conditions, no close parking to setup area - Sugar Rose has the right to charge extra labour charges for, but not limited to any of these conditions if we arrive on site and full disclosure has not be given by hirer. From $50-100 per hour per labourer.
7. OWNERSHIP:-
All items hired remain the property of Sugar Rose Tea Party Hire at all times.
Any items not returned as per signed hire contract will be deemed as stolen and reported to police unless we are advised items broken at time of collection/return.
Non contact by hirer after items collected/delivered again will be reported to police & deemed as stolen property - text messages, emails other forms of contact & social media contact will all be handed over to police.
Any items not returned within 48 hours of designated agreed return time will be listed with police as stolen items. It is in your best interest to keep in contact with Sugar Rose Tea Party hire owner at all times.
7a. Custom made items will be listed as hire or sale pending on the item, this usually will refer to bridal flowers or signage only. Real florals can be kept by client if supplied and will be priced accordingly.
8. DIY-COLLECTION OF ITEMS:-
Picking up Tables generally will require a single cab ute, trailer or covered van.
Rustic Tables are 1.8m long & require a 2 man lift. White tables vary between 1.8-2.1m in length.
Please ensure you bring appropriate packing blankets & tie down ratchet straps. We can supply but will be taken out of bond if not returned. All items hired remain the property of Sugar Rose Tea Party Hire. See #7. if items not returned. Please note some items on our website are marked NO DIY and only Sugar Rose staff can deliver these items.
See #11 for ID & 18+ pickup requirements.
9A. DELIVERY
charged out at $2.50/km per vehicle plus vehicle tolls if applicable within 50km radius.
$2.80-$3 per km outside this area.
Commercial Toll Fees applicable
Truck deliveries will incur additional fee. Truck as per standard commercial hire rates. $POA for extra large deliveries
Trailer allow extra $2.00/km
9.B. Brisbane Parks - Minimum charges applicable ($300) for New Farm, Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens and Mt Cootha Summit. Other parks subject to address. Meaning your minimum quote will be $300 including delivery/setup. It can be over but not under.
eg. 2 basic picnics - sugar rose to setup, rug cleaning fee plus delivery/pickup $350
9B. PICKUPS/DELIVERIES
Normal Business hours delivery & pickup times - 8am - 6pm normal hourly rate applies. Any pickups outside business hours - Additional $75 per person applicable. This is not negotiable. If staff have to deal with Difficult sites or inclement weather $75 per hour. Again this is not negotiable. Outside pickup times need to be advised at time of quote. If this is advised after quoting or full payment made or venue/client changes these details, this payment is still payable. This applies to Sunrise wedding setups, birthdays etc. Late pickup fees $POA
10. PAYMENT DETAILS:-
Cash on delivery-collection / Bank Transfer - (Fee free)
Eftpos surcharge may be charged
or Paypal (2.7% surcharge applicable taken out of bonds)
10a. **BOND REFUNDS

Cash or bank transfer for bond is preferrable.
*If you pay by bank transfer we will need your bank details to process refunds after return or collection of items.
If you pay with Paypal App, you will be charged 2.7% from your bond to cover their fee. Sugar Rose has the right to increase this pending on their terms.
10b. Bonds will be charged out at $100 for Sugar Rose setup for small jobs or $200-300 for large events (corporate or weddings).
$100-150 charge for pickup/DIY options
10c. GST
As of 1st April 2024 all quotes & invoices will have GST added. Any quotes already accepted by this date will be honoured at Pre GST pricing. Any quotes not accepted by this time or new Quotes will now have GST included as per ATO requirements.
11. ID REQUIREMENTS
Photo ID with current address required upon collection of items. Vehicle registration will be noted & if event to be held at a seperate address, this will need to be disclosed aswell to ensure Sugar rose has enough details to ensure we know where our hire items will be at all times. 18+ people to collect as hire contract to be signed by an adult.
12. PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF PRODUCTS

13. STYLING / STYLIST ONLY
This can be for setting up your items only or mix of yours and my hire items
Start from $50 per staff member per hour
Minimum charges may apply and start from 4 hours plus travel, pending on location.
This will include first hour of styling (1 staff member)
If 2 or more staff are required for job but can travel in same vehicle. Min charge only applies for first staff member.
Note:-Sugar Rose holds a $10,00000 Public Liability policy.
